About Me!

Hello my name is Laurie and I am personal trainer. I attended The National Personal Training Institute in Beaverton, Oregon. I choose to be come a personal trainer because I have always enjoyed fitness and eating healthy, also because of a back injury. I have a slipped disc in my lower back that was pushing on a nerve (ouch) and caused a lot of pain while sitting at my desk. Going to the chiropractor was the only option that I wanted, no surgery for me! As treatment went on it helped some, as well as being off work for a few months but it definitely was not normal and I had to ask myself would it ever be again with out surgery? My Doctor said walking and swimming would be good for me to just becareful. So I started walking and swimming and I lost a few pounds and liked the results all the way around, my back didn't hurt as much but it was still hard to sit. After I was laid off  I started to look online to see what kind of back exercises I could do to maybe help more, and I ran across an ad for National Personal Training Institute. I thought what better way to help people become healthier and maybe prevent back injury.
It may be a big goal but I am committed to making the world a healthier place one person at a time!
